Jean & Sasha’s Wedding | Llundudno

Jean & Sasha celebrated their wedding day at her parents beautiful house in Llundudno. The house was transformed into a warm stunning venue filled with hanging hearts. Even the two dogs had scarfs to wear on the day. A big marquee was erected and a wooden deck was build over the pool area that served as the area for the ceremony area and the dancefloor. The wind gave us a hard time on the day blowing the brides hair all over the place, but that was not going to stop us from getting the beautiful shots. An A Capella group sang songs to entertain the guest during the reception. Here are my favourites photographs from their wedding.

Carlo & Janine’s Wedding | Strandkombuis

Carlo & Janine got married at the beautiful beach venue of Strandkombuis, Yzerfontein. I had so much fun photographing of the little windmills set up in the sand on the beach with all the guests names written on them. It was also the Super Moon that evening; when the moon is at it’s closest to the earth and it only happens every 28 years. Thank you Carlo & Janine for making me feel part of your wedding day. Ari & Magda’s Wedding | Hermanus

Greek & Polish! Here’s the wedding of Ari & Magda that I photographed in Hermanus. It started off at a beautiful beach house where Magda and her bridesmaids got ready. Ribbons lead the way onto the spot on the beach between two big rocky cliffs where they exchanged their vows. Some of my favourite spots to photograph Ari & Magda was on the broadwalk. Their reception were held at the La Vierge Winery & Restaurant. Boy, there was a BIG PARTY that night! A group of Cape Coons entertained the guests with their singing and dancing. Alister & Caryn’s Wedding | Geelbek, Langebaan

Alister and Caryn celebrated their wedding day at Geelbek, in the West Coast National Park. Their ceremony took place in the Catholic Church in Langebaan. Something that I liked were the red hearts underneath Caryn’s shoes. It was quite a very windy day. It made my job a bit more interesting trying to find spots where the light was perfect and the wind did not blow the couples hear in all directions. I think I managed the wind. Jacques & Saskia’s Wedding in Camps Bay

Jacques & Saskia got married in a beautiful house in Camps Bay. With it’s beautiful modern architecture, koi fish pond in the hallway and a stunning view of the whole of Camps Bay one can understand why this house is called the Bond House. The gap in the roof above the ceremony area gave me a different point of view from the top to photograph the wedding. Because Saskia’s father is Scotish, they had an tradition where the couple each drinks whisky as a toast to their partner before it is passed on to the guests. A beautiful little beach in Camps Bay provided us a great location to photograph Sakia and Jacques together as a couple. The weather played along that day making it possible for an outdoor reception in the garden. With cocktails and a few great tunes the guests hit the dancefloor and partied the night away. Here are the moments that best described the day.

Mike & Annelot’s Wedding in Llandudno

It’s hard when you have to photograph a wedding and big beautiful waves are calling out to you: “COME AND SWIM!”. Llundano were a perfect setting for Mike & Annelot’s wedding. Mike & Annelot have two beautiful children and are currently staying in the Netherlands. Every time they visited South Africa they stayed at the Beach Break beach house in Llandudno. But this time it was transformed into their wedding venue. The decor did not take anything away from this beautiful beach house, but really enhanced it. Close friends and family joined them for a small, intimate ceremony by the pool. After a fantastic 3 course meal everyone went down to the beach. Some played beach soccer (football), others just relaxed while sipping on Mojitos and a few were brave enough to go for a swim. Mike & Annelot, all of the best to you and hope you will enjoy these images. You have two beautiful children! Here are some of my favorite moments from their wedding. Anton & Gwen’s Wedding at Strandkombuis

This was one of my favorite beach wedding that I have photographed. Anton & Gwen both love the sea and that is why they chose Strandkombuis in Yzerfontein as their venue. I loved the fact that the venue is so close to the beach (almost on the beach) and they serve really great seafood for the guests to eat. The beautiful white beach house where Gwen got dressed was such a great location the photos off. There was also a breathtaking sunset that evening. I am not too good with sunset or landscape photography, but I have never spend so much time focusing on some great sunset shots. That was great fun. What can I say… I really loved this experience. The West Coast of South Africa has an unique beauty to it and it’s worth it to make a road trip up that way. Big thanks to Gwen & Anton for being part of your beautiful day. I love the last shot of the post. I photographed it on the dance floor with very little available light, but I love the colors.
