Spagetti & Biltong. Today I am sharing the story of how a good looking Italian groom and beautiful South African bride celebrated their wedding day in the middle of beautiful no-where. Koleskloof farm, where they decided to tie the knot, belongs to Maretha’s family. She also grew up on the farm. When I arrived early on the day of the wedding, I could see why the couple choose this beautiful setting. The views and the scenery was really breathtaking. The ceremony was held on top of a hill under a tree. Maretha’s parent got engaged on that same spot where the ceremony was held on the hill. A few buses transported the guests to the ceremony and back down to the reception. A reggae band entertained the guest with a few famous Bob Marley songs. The beautiful wedding cake was made by Nelle Cakes. Besides the wonderful food and drink, waffles and cappuccinos were served to the guests.
It took a lot of work to set everything up for this wedding, but in my eyes it was so worth it. I still love the fact that tent was erected in the middle of now were, people rocked up and a wedding was held. Thank you Maretha & Paolo for the opportunity to photograph your beautiful day. I would also like to thank my brother Desmond for helping me at this wedding. Names of the service providers involved is right at the end of the post. Here are my favorite images to fill in the rest of the blanks in my story. Enjoy!
