I recently did a shoot at the beautiful new venue in Stellenbosch, Brenaissance. I absolutely love the venue and I can not wait for my first booking at this venue. Here are some of my favorite images from the shoot.

I recently photographed a few dresses of Laceblossom at the beautiful venue, Hawksmoor House. This was a total different look than the previous shoot that I photographed last year. Big thanks to Erna & Zani from Laceblossom, Hawksmoor House, Helga Bridal Hair & Make-up, 1085 Artist Management (models – Zilke & Peach), Ice Genetics (Candice) and Lilly Blue for the accesories. Couple Shoot | Muizenberg | Jacques & Yolande

One Sunday afternoon, Yolande & Jacques picked me up with their Tazz and we drove to Muizenberg to do their couple shoot. Yolande is a talented photographer (Yolande Snyders Photography) and she has a sideline project called the “Desert Rose Project”. This was my first time shooting in Muizenberg. Both Jaqcues & Yolande was just as nervous as myself when we started the shoot. But As the afternoon progressed the creativity juices kept getting better and better; as we photographed around Muizenberg.

I’ll be photographing their wedding later this year and share the images when they are ready. Here are some of my favourite images from the shoot. Thank you Yolande & Jacques. You guys were the main stars of the day.

Review: Light at the end of the Tunnel Workshop

This is quick summary of two wonderful days at the Light At The End Of The Tunnel Workshop. The workshop took place at Webersburg on the 4th & 5th of May. 8 photographers, sat around a long table in the wine cellar as I presented and taught from my personal experience. Topics on Day 1 were more aimed toward photographing better photograph, how to get the most of available light and how to incorporate creativity into your images. On Day 2 we moved onto things like workflow, organizing your business and editing. At lunchtime each day, the staff at Webersburg prepared a wonderful 3 course meal. We did a shoot with 1 model and one couple on the first day. We have some of the best weather on that day. The beautiful light and the colours of Autumn, truly put the cherries on each of our photos we photographed that day. I love teaching; maybe it come from my father’s side. He was one my inspirations and the person who rooted for me to start teaching. I hope to present more workshops in the future and be part of other teaching opportunities.

I just want to thank the following people who helped me make this workshop come to life: Thanks Kaley and everybody at Webersburg (the food was out of this world and the service was excellent), Zani & Erna from Lace Blossom (for giving us a dress for the shoot), Annelize (for the beautiful hair & make-up) and to the models (Jacqueline, Chantelle & Rudi) . I would like to end of by thanking each of the photographers who attended. This was truly an awesome group to teach and I really had fun with you guys. I hope that the 2-days that we spend together gave all of you fresh inspiration to go and be better photographers. ALL OF THE BEST!

This was just another fun sideline project that my brother, Desmond Denton, helped me with. He and Jonathan Myburgh came along on the day of Joy and Reggie’s Day After Shoot to film video behind the scenes. It always has been great to work with these two on film sets and learn from their field of expertise. Thanks so much Desmond, Marinus and Jonathan. I have recently worked on two movies with them where I had to photograph portraits of the actors involved. Soon I will also post these pictures and also give a bit more details about both movies. Joy & Reggie’s Day After Photos

The day after their wedding, Joy and Reggie met up with me to take some more photos. They wanted images that will reflect the feeling and the warm vibe of Cape Town. Joy had a white flower in her hair on the wedding day, so she decided to change it with a red flower for the shoot. My brother, Desmond, and a friend, Jonathan Myburgh, accompanied us to film the whole process. The most craziest spot was defiantly Green Market Square. Everybody from people walking by to the stall owners went crazy when they saw the couple and all of them wanted to be featured in a group photo. Funny when people pull out a camera how they also would like to be in the picture or seen on TV. From the big city with lots of love, here are some of their day after of the day. Lace Blossom Photoshoot

I recently did a shoot for Lace Blossom; the new business started by my wife, Zani, and a friend, Erna Theron. They specialize in bridal couture. They needed photos to showcase their work and their label. We photographed three of their dresses at 401 Rozendal. I fell in love the venue from the minute that I stepped into the building. There was so much freedom on this shoot; I believe that this was the key ingredient to create beautiful images. It is just so amazing how everything came together at the end. Hair and Make-up was done by Helga Bridal Hair & Make-up.

Zani and Erna, I am really proud of the two of you. It is perfect timing and I believe that this business will go far. All of the best for the future. Also a big thanks to everyone who helped make this shoot possible, especially Aleit for organizing the venue. I can not take credit for these images.
