Family Shoot – Marco, Lynne & Little Thura

In Mid-Autumn, I met Marco and Lynne at the Spier to do a family shoot them and their latest edition to their family, Thura. They are curently living in Amsterdam. They came down to South Africa for a quick visit to the family and for the christening of Thura . Thura was a cute baby to photograph. Here are a few of my favorite images of the day.

Couple Shoot in Cape Town – Martin & Adele

I did a fun couple shoot with Martin and Adele in the Mother City. I love Cape Town. The more I take photographs the city the more I realise how awesome it is. It feels like shooting in a few locations around the world. From Long Street to the Bo-Kaap, we went wild! Big up to Martin & Adele, I really had fun photographing the two of up in the town. I’ll be photographing their wedding photos later this year, so keep you eyes open.

Neil & Jasmine’s Couple Session

Neil & Jasmine are two very good friends of ours. They got married 5 years ago and wanted to celebrate it by doing a couple shoot with me. We went to the lighthouse in Sea Point and to a beautiful forest at the bottom of Table Mountain. Here are some pics from their session.

Will & Kate’s Couple Shoot

I met Will and Kate at beach in Llandudno for a couple session before they head back home to the UK. They were here in South Africa on vacation visit family and to plan their wedding that will take place in 2011 at Molenvliet. Because the tide came in, we hopped around from rock to rock to get to nice spots. I really love the beach at Llandudno. It is just one of many beautiful spots along our coastline. Here are some of the images of the day.

Ten Years ago: I had braces, thick curly hear and geeky glasses. I had my Matric School Reunion 2 weekends ago. I finished matric 10 years ago at D.F. Malan High (Class of ’99). It was scary to look at my school photo again. A lot has changed since then. Compare these two images.

Strong Message Photoshoot

On Tuesday I did a photo shoot for my dad’s consultancy,namely Strong Message Consultancy, which specialises in business consultancy. Typical business issues include change management, strategic planning, culture alignment, leadership development, team development, and customer and employee satisfaction. My dad, Mario Denton, travels the world (literally the whole world) and teaches at other universities and business schools. Strong Message Consultancy is currently undergoing a make-over, with a new image and website being launched soon. My brother, Desmond Denton, got on board at the end of last year to be part of the media and film division of the consultancy. He is also very creative and adds a fresh experiential and interactive element to all the training and development my dad will be presenting in the future.

For the photo shoot we drove out to the beautiful farms near Philadelphia and photographed in a open grain field. It was a beautiful day, with a fantastic backdrop and clouds. I wanted to take not only a few portrait shots but also play around with fun concepts for the new look of the consultancy. I am really pleased with the end result and I know my dad will love the photos. Thanks Dad and Desmond! I hope this is the beginning of new things for the business. I am proud of you both! Simon & Jennifer’s E-Session Around the Cape

In the begining of December, I photographed an engagement session for Simon & Jennifer. I will be photographing their wedding pictures early in January next year. Simon is Irish and Jennifer comes from Venezala in South America. They are a lovely couple and it was great spending time with them. We started off at the at the Newlands Forest, photographed a few beach shot at Hout Bay and finished off on Capman’s Peak. Look out for their wedding photos soon to be posted on this blog. But for now, here is some of the best images of their engagement session.

Danie & Lisa’s Fun Couple Shoot

Daniel and Lisa booked me earlier the year for their wedding photos, but they change the date to get married a bit earlier. I was already booked for another client and could take their wedding photos any more. I suggested that we do an engagement session instead. They accepted the idea and we photographed their e-session on the last Sunday in September.

When I spoke to Lisa over the phone she said that I should not expect a typical couple shoot for they where going to dress up a bit. I did not what to expect, but when along with it waiting in anticipation. When I arrived that afternoon on the farm of Danie’s Dad, they where geared and ready for action. The first part of the shoot they dressed up as farm worker from the earlier years. The second part Danie dress up in old-school, classic suite and Lisa up on a cool dress with beautiful flowers in her hair. I had a ball with these two. I love it when my clients are creative and come up with their own cool ideas. Here are a few of my favorites!

Lisa and Danie, I am sorry that things did not work out as they should have, but this shoot made up for all of that. I really enjoyed it and I hope that you will enjoy these images. I hope that you have a fantastic wedding day!
