Family first… we were thrilled to hear the good news that Zani was pregnant agian. Our small little family of 3 is growing. The due date is around the corner. We’ll be putting up a new post soon on the latest edition to the Denton family in the next few weeks to come.

2011  started of with a big bang when I heard that one of my photos was chosen to be one of Junebug’s Best of the Best 2010. This was a wonderful moment in my photography courier. I have learned through this process to never give up, not to be too hard on yourself and to believe.

It was also great presenting workshops on my own and alongside some other great photographers in South Africa (like High Noon Shootout). I learned so much form teaching people and I hope that more teaching opportunities will follow in the next few years.

But one of my highlights for of the year was defiantly shooting 2 international weddings. One was my brother’s wedding in Russia and the other was Pim & Claudia’s wedding in Holland. It has always been my dream to do both photography and travelling together. It was also a great privilege to have had Zani along on the journey.

I would like to thank all my wedding couples, clients and visitors on the blog. It’s because of you that I push to create more beautiful art. Have a wonderful Christmas and hope that 2012 will be a great year for you. Here is my favorite some of my personal favorite images of 2011. God Bless!

Vera insisted that we must visit Saint Petersburg when come to Russia. After our wonderful time in Moscow we packed our bags and took the midnight train to Saint Petersburg. Saint Petersburg is located on the Neva River at the head of the Gulf of Finland on the Baltic Sea. It is also known as the Venice of the North with a few canals running through the city. For a whole week we walked the streets of this beautiful city and did a bit of sight seeing. Russia was wonderful country and I feel so inspired after touring through it.

After popular demand, 2 new dates were released for the High Noon Shootout 2. The first one will be this coming Sunday, the 29th of May, and the second one will be on Saturday the 11th of June. I really had a great time with the last workshop. What I loved about this teaching experience is that each session changes; as you shoot in different conditions and models.  You will be learning from photographers like Mario Sales, Jaco Fourie, Christiaan David, Michael Tree and myself.  Join us and see how each photographer approaches their photography in their unique way.
