Finally, it is here! Time to reveal the images from my brother’s big day. The aim behind our overseas trip was to photograph Desmond & Vera’s wedding in Moscow, Russia. There is so much to show & tell that I will split this wedding into two posts.
I was a real honour for me to be able to be Desmond’s best man and to represent my family at the wedding. Saturday morning all of us got up early to eat breakfast and to get ready for the wedding day. Vera’s wedding dress was made by Laceblossom and her beautiful earring was made by Helga. We used a limo to drive us around on the day, since all of the venues are so far from each other and you’ll use public transport. Funny, the limo had a “I love NY” number plate at the back. Desmond & Vera got married in the St Peters & Paul’s Cathedral (beautiful Lutheran Church in Moscow) where close friends and family attended the wedding ceremony. Most of the service was in Russian, but there was a translator present to translate the ceremony us into English (us meaning just Desmond, Zani and myself). Assisting me on the wedding day was Denis Kulichkov; also a photographer from Moscow. All of Vera’s friends squeezed into the limo after the ceremony and accompanied us to a beautiful park close to the restaurant. At the park a bottle of bubbly was opened and all of us toasted the newly weds. Here are some of my favourite image from the part 1 of the wedding day. Click here to view Part II.
