This was my first wedding with my new Canon 5D Mark II camera and already I can see the difference. We started off in Langa where Nontando got dress and traveled to Stellenbosch for the ceremony at the St. Nicolas Catholic Church. Their reception was held at the Morgenhof Wine Estate. Everywhere we went (Langa to the venue) the guest sang traditional songs which was really beautiful to hear. Joao, the groom, is originally from Angola. Most of his family travel down from Angola to share in the beautiful day. This was such wonderful celebration and a totally new cultural experience for me. Here are a few of my favorites. By the way… I have decreased the size of my borders on the last few posts, because I want to make the images bigger. Bigger is better… Hope you like it!

Remember Simon & Jennifer from their e-session I photographed in December? Well here they are again and this time it’s their wedding day. Guest from Ireland, Venezvala and even local South Africans come down to Franschoek to share in their beautiful day. They got married in the Franschoek Dutch Reformed Church and later traveled to the lovely La Petite Ferme Restaurant. With a beautiful cloudy day, a great couple and a view to die for, we photographed their couple photos amongst the vineyards. The reception was opened with the bridal couple performing a tango for their guests. The rest of the evening was filled with fun, laughter, good food & wine. Here are a few of my beauties from their wedding day… Enjoy!
