I have recently received good news that two of my images was selected for the Bride & Groom category in the ISPWP Wedding Photography Spring 2013 Contest. 6th & 19th place! Both these images are from a trash the dress I photographed end of last year. I really feal honored to be part of a society of photographers like ISPWP. Here are the two images that was selected. Leon & Hayley decided to tie the knot on the day the whole world celebrates love… Valentines Day. Leon & Hayley got married at Contanstia Uitsig and their reception was held at the lovely La Colombe Restaurant. From getting ready to the first dance; there was so many wonderful moments in these set of images to sum up the story of their wedding day. One of my personal favorite images is a panoramic shot of the couple with the beautiful mountain and vineyard in the background. Here are some of the images I’ve selected to tell their story.
I recently received good news that one of my images was selected for a Fearless Award. My image was selected for the April 2013 Collection 15 of the Fearless Photographers Group. This is my second Fearless Award. I’ll be doing a post on this shoot soon.

Hallo Du Wayne, baie geluk met jou tweede Fearless toekenning. Dit is bewys van jou ware talent. Hope you guys are ready for beautiful set of images, because I really could not make up my mind which ones to choose. Remember Grant & Kelly from their themed couple shoot in the city? Well today I’ll be sharing their beautiful wedding that took place at Forest Hall Estate, near Natures Valley. This is part 1 of two posts.
Grant & Kelly decided on the beautiful Forest Hall Estate to celebrate their wedding day. Forest Hall Manor was built in 1862 and it is also an South African National Monument. I love the beautiful murals paintings of the crags in the entrance hall as you enter the Manor House. Kerry got ready inside beautiful main bedroom. Their beautiful ceremony area was set up in the forest area next to the manor house with umbrellas hanging from branches. As Kelly walked down the path way to the ceremony, a beautiful conversation recording of her (when she was a little girl) and her father was played accompanied by beautiful dramatic music. It was raining so hard during the start of the ceremony that it was shifted to Manor House where there were more cover for the guest. The pre-drinks was held at the pool area of the estate. Lovely Winter Wedding! Love the “fluffy” thing the bride is wearing on the last photos. Lovely! Here is part two of Grant & Kelly’s beautiful wedding day at Forest Hall Estate. Before their wedding day, Grant & Kelly send me a few of their favorite Ralph Lauren ads on YouTube to give me a feeling what they wanted. The weather permitted us to photograph the couple and bridal party without being disrupted with rain again. I just received my 5D Mark III camera body before shooting this wedding, so it was really a great opportunity to to take it for a test drive (especially in low light). Three of my favorite images: 1) B&W Panoramic cropped photo with bridal party walking on the lawn. 2) The styled group photo of the bridal party in front of a dead tree. 3) Low light photo below of the couple in the forest in front of a pond. The reception provided more wonderful moments as guests started to warm up inside and enjoy the party. Grant & Kelly, thank you so much for the opportunity to shoot your wedding.
